چکیده

Slag control in small and medium-scale (SME) foundries is based on operator’s experience, as foundry operators can hardly see a visual difference between liquid metal slag at metal-making temperatures with the naked eye. With increasing requirements of high-quality castings, it imperative that SMEs employ smart, innovative, affordable technologies to assist real-time monitoring stay competitive market. In this work, an Operator Vision Assistance System (OVIAS) was developed enhance vision differentiating from provide visualization slag. A prototype OVIAS set up tested imaging bath surface 2.5 t induction furnace Österby Gjuteri AB, Sweden. Tests confirmed potential visualization. optimizing amount coagulant addition during melting stage de-slagging operation. Industrial calibration performed but must be further lab-scale tests. The serve cost-efficient, flexible alternative current expensive infrared-based systems providing improved well larger mills. This article protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

development of different optical methods for determination of glucose using cadmium telluride quantum dots and silver nanoparticles

a simple, rapid and low-cost scanner spectroscopy method for the glucose determination by utilizing glucose oxidase and cdte/tga quantum dots as chromoionophore has been described. the detection was based on the combination of the glucose enzymatic reaction and the quenching effect of h2o2 on the cdte quantum dots (qds) photoluminescence.in this study glucose was determined by utilizing glucose...

Development of a compression system dynamic simulation code for testing and designing of anti-surge control system

In recent years, several research activities have been conducted to develop knowledge in analysis, design and optimization of compressor anti-surge control system. Since the anti-surge control testing on a full-scale compressor is limited to possible consequences of failure, and also the experimental facility can be expensive to set up control strategies and logic, design process often involves...
